Our In-House Warranty

At Carolina Discount Movers, we take great pride in the care we take with your belongings during every move. To provide additional peace of mind, we offer an In-House Warranty that covers repairs or damages up to $750, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Warranty Coverage Includes:

  • Damaged Walls: Repair of minor scuffs, scratches, or holes caused during the move.
  • Damaged Appliances: Coverage for appliances that are damaged during the relocation process, provided the move was conducted with proper handling.
  • Paint and Drywall Repair: Repairs for minor paint scuffs or drywall damages caused by our team.
  • Other Damages: Coverage for any other types of damages to items or property as a result of our handling during the move, based on industry standards for moving practices.

This warranty ensures that repairs are made within the $750 limit per claim, and it covers standard damages that can occur during a typical moving process.

Warranty Exclusions:

The following conditions will void the In-House Warranty:

  1. Customer Requests Against Team Advice: If the customer requests that our team move items or take actions that we advise against due to safety, structural, or logistical concerns, any resulting damage will not be covered by the warranty.
  2. Signed Liability Waiver: If the customer signs a liability waiver that specifically exempts responsibility for certain items or circumstances, those items will not be covered by our warranty.
  3. Pre-existing Damages: Damages that were present prior to the move or any item already damaged by other means (e.g., wear and tear or prior incidents) are not covered.
  4. Non-Standard Items: This warranty does not apply to items that are particularly fragile, overly large, or otherwise deemed non-standard. Customers should request special care or insurance for such items.
  5. Failure to Report Damages Promptly: Any damages must be reported within 48 hours of the completion of the move. Failure to notify us within this timeframe will disqualify the claim from warranty coverage.
  6. Improper Handling: If damages result from improper handling by the customer or by an untrained third party after the move is completed, the warranty will not apply.

Claim Process:

To make a claim under our warranty, please follow these steps:

  1. Report the Damage: Contact us within 48 hours of the move to report any damage or issue.
  2. Submit Documentation: Provide photos or documentation of the damages (including the affected area or item) and a description of what occurred.
  3. Inspection: Our team will inspect the reported damages, and if eligible, we will proceed with repairs or reimbursement for repairs up to the $750 limit.

Warranty Limitations:

This warranty does not cover indirect damages such as loss of use, inconvenience, or damages to items that are not directly caused by our moving services. It is also limited to repair and material costs within the $750 threshold, and cannot exceed this amount per claim.
